GPS
The Explorer I Router GPS antenna should be placed on the exterior of the vehicle with unobstructed access to the sky. Inside the vehicle, the best placement for the GPS antenna is with external window access. GPS relies on line-of-sight contact with numerous orbiting satellites.
The Explorer I Router comes with either of three GPS antennas, depending on your purchase. The puck style antenna uses a magnetic mount, while the Peel and Stick antenna uses a foam adhesive tape and the Husky 7-in-1 is externally attached to the vehicle.
The Explorer I Router GPS requires four or more satellites for precise 3D location information. Three satellites will only provide 2D location information. Two satellites or less will not provide any location information.
