How can I use Ethernet WAN service if it is available?
The Ethernet WAN backhaul cable is physically plugged into the WAN port on the front of the router.
Which protocols are available for use with Ethernet WAN?
Ethernet WAN protocols include DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) or manually configured Static Address. In most cases, DHCP is used, which is default.
Can I disable the Ethernet WAN port?
The Ethernet WAN port can be disabled via the WAN->Ethernet screen. Simply tap the slider to enable or disable Ethernet as WAN.
What speeds does Ethernet WAN support?
Ethernet WAN supported speeds are 10Mbps, 100Mbps or 1000Mbps.
What kind of connectors and cables are used for an Ethernet WAN connection?
The router uses the standard RJ45 Ethernet connector. CAT5 (or higher) is your best choice for cables. The Ethernet wiring may be either a straight thru standard patch cable or a cross over cable.
